Mark Bristow is the president and chief executive of Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:GOLD) (TSX:ABX). Formerly, he was chief executive of Randgold Resources, the company he built from a small Africa-focused exploration business into one of the industry’s most profitable and best managed gold miners.
In January 2019, the two companies merged. Bristow restructured and restrategised Barrick, and within months he was the prime mover in the combination of the Nevada assets of Barrick and Newmont, creating the world’s single largest gold mining complex, Nevada Gold Mines, majority-owned and operated by Barrick.
With his proven record of creating and delivering significant value to stakeholders, Bristow leads an organisation with mines and projects in 13 countries. Its portfolio is focused on long-life, high-margin gold and copper assets and contains six of the world’s Tier One gold mines: Carlin, Cortez and Turquoise Ridge in Nevada, Loulo-Gounkoto in Mali, Kibali in the DRC and Pueblo Viejo in the Dominican Republic.
Bristow holds a doctorate in geology. His goal now is to make Barrick the world’s most valued gold and copper producer, owning the best assets, managed by the best people, and delivering industry leading returns.
Rob is the Chairman and Chief Owner of McEwen Mining, which has four producing mines located in Nevada, Ontario, Mexico and Argentina. Rob has been associated with the gold industry all his career, his first 18 years in the investment industry and since 1990 as CEO of several gold mining companies.
Rob is the founder of Goldcorp, where he took the company from a market capitalization of $50 million to over $8 billion. At McEwen Mining (MUX) he owns 18% of the company and takes a salary of $1/ year. The cost of his investment in MUX and McEwen Copper exceeds US$200 Million.
Rob and his wife, Cheryl, have donated over $60 million to encourage excellence and innovation in healthcare and education.
Rob was awarded the Order of Canada in 2007, the Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Award in 2013, Inducted into the Mining Hall of Fame in 2017 and has Honourary Doctorate of Law Degrees from York University and Western University.
He is also a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board, Schulich School of Business; X Prize Foundation: Vision Circle and Board of Trustees; a member of CEO (Chief Executive Organization) and of WPO (World Presidents’ Organization) and serves on the Advisory Board of the McEwen School of Architecture.
Ms. MacGibbon is a CPA, CA with over 25 years of experience in the mining sector and capital markets. She was formerly the CEO of INV Metals Inc., a Canadian mineral resource company focused on the development and exploration of the Loma Larga gold property in Ecuador, which was acquired by Dundee Precious Metals Inc., in July 2021. Ms. MacGibbon has significant technical, government relations, communications and Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) experience. Ms. MacGibbon has a deep understanding of the capital markets, including her previous employment as a global mining institutional salesperson with RBC Capital Markets and in base metals research as a mining associate with BMO Capital Markets. Ms. MacGibbon is a Chartered Professional Accountant and her financial and accounting experience includes her previous role as CFO of INV Metals Inc., as well as her prior employment with Deloitte LLP. Ms. MacGibbon is also a former director of INV Metals Inc., Cobalt 27 Capital Corp., and Nickel 28 Capital Corp. She is currently a Director of Osisko Gold Royalties (TSX:OR) and is to be appointed to the board of Directors of Carbon Streaming Corporation in November 2021.
George Ogilvie, has over 30 years of management, operating and technical experience in the mining industry. Mr. Ogilvie was until most recently the President & CEO of Battle North, a position he was appointed to, in 2016 whilst the company was under financial insolvency & restructuring proceedings. During his 5 year tenure at Battle North, Mr. Ogilvie and his team successfully completed a turnaround of the company resulting in an increase in the resource base from 400 k ounces Au to approximately 1.3 million oz Au, completion of a positive bulk mining reconciliation program resulting in de-risking of the project, delivery of a preliminary economic assessment and follow on feasibility study in relation to the project with a post-tax IRR of 50% and completion debt and equity financing of over C$100m associated with project construction. Battle North was acquired by Evolution Mining Limited in May 2021 at a 45% premium to the prevailing spot price. Prior to this, Mr. Ogilvie was the CEO of Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. where he and his team implemented a turnaround strategy which included, amongst other items, improving operations at the Macassa Mine and the acquisition of St. Andrew Goldfields, resulting in significant returns for shareholders. Previously, Mr. Ogilvie was the CEO of Rambler Metals and Mining PLC, where he and his team guided the evolution of the company from grassroots exploration to a profitable junior producer. Mr. Ogilvie began his mining career in 1989 with AngloGold in South Africa and he subsequently held other roles at the Ruttan Mine in Northern Manitoba for HudBay Minerals Inc., the McCreedy West Mine and also as Area Manager for Dynatec Corporation. Currently, Mr. Ogilvie also serves on the board of Rupert Resources Ltd. Mr. Ogilvie received his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mining and Petroleum Engineering from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland. He is a Professional Engineer and also holds his Mine Managers Certificate (South Africa)
Trent Mell founded First Cobalt in 2017. In 2021 First Cobalt was rebranded to Electra Battery Materials Corporation. Trent brings more than 20 years of international business and operational experience. His mining career includes mine permitting, development and operations with Barrick Gold, Sherritt International, North American Palladium and AuRico Gold. Trent’s commercial experience includes M&A, joint ventures, offtake contracts and over $2.6 billion in equity and debt financings. He was also CEO of Falco Resources, owner of the Horne project which has mineral reserves of over 6 million gold equivalent ounces. As President and Head of Mining of PearTree Securities, Trent created a mining team and led the firm to become the largest provider of flow-through capital in Canada, placing more than $300 million in capital in their first year.
Siri has spent over 25 years working on major capital projects around the world. She has worked in the Natural Resource and Infrastructure industries. During the course of her career, Siri has developed particular expertise in Sustainability & ESG, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, with a strong focus on Project Management and Supply Chain. Siri has worked with the Board Room, Leadership as well as Project Delivery teams. Siri currently runs BRIDGE©, a boutique consultancy providing non-quantitative strategy services, advising her clients on ESG and Risk Management interfacing with Commercial and Supply Chain issues. Prior to running her own business Siri worked with BHP Canada as Head of Project Services. Siri is a director of the PDAC, Co-chair of the Sustainability and Lands and Regulations Committees. She is a member of Council of the PGO, as well as a director of two exploration mining companies. Siri recently received the 2019 “Distinguished Lecturer Award for CSR” from the Canadian Institute of Mining.
Pierre Gratton was appointed President and CEO of the Mining Association of Canada (MAC) on June 1, 2011. Based in Ottawa, MAC is the national organization for the Canadian mining industry. Its members are engaged in mineral exploration, mining, smelting, refining and semi-fabrication. Prior to his appointment to MAC, Pierre was President and CEO of the Mining Association of British Columbia (MABC). From 1999-2008, Mr. Gratton served as Vice President, Sustainable Development and Public Affairs for the Mining Association of Canada (MAC). In this capacity, he was instrumental in the development of Towards Sustainable Mining, MAC’s flagship program that is gaining international recognition and adoption. In 2005-06, Mr. Gratton was honoured as a Distinguished Lecturer for the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM). Mr. Gratton is First Vice-President of the Interamerican Mining Society (SIM – Sociedad Interamericana de Mineria), Chair of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame and the Co-chair of the Green Mining Initiative Advisory Committee. He also serves as a Trustee of the Arctic Inspiration Prize and on the Board of Ottawa’s Thirteen Strings Chamber Orchestra. Mr. Gratton holds an M.A. degree in political science, a B.A. from McGill University, and a third-degree black belt.
Chris Grove became President of Commerce Resources in September 2014, following being added to the Board of Directors in 2012. Prior to that he worked as Corporate Communications for the Company since 2004, and has significant contacts within the financial communities in North America and Europe. Mr. Grove has assisted the company in raising ~$100 M CAD for Commerce Resource over the last 17 years, to advance the developments of both the Blue River Tantalum & Niobium project in British Columbia, and the Ashram REE/ Fluorspar Deposit in Quebec.
Clint Cox founded The Anchor House, Inc. in 1995 as an investment advisory firm specializing in unique situations. In 2005, Clint began research on the Rare Earth Element (REE) market and focused on the REE market from 2006. Clint has been to over 150 rare earth sites and facilities worldwide, has spoken at many industry events, and has worked with a variety of clients throughout the REE supply chain. Clint graduated with a B.A. in English from Colgate University in 1993 (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa).
Dr. Erin R. Bobicki is an Associate Professor of mineral processing in the department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta. Professor Bobicki’s research interests include microwave applications in mineral processing, comminution, bioreagent development, the rheology of complex mineral slurries, and value recovery from waste materials. She has worked as a researcher and plant metallurgist for Vale, as a Process Technology Development Engineer for Intel Corporation, and most recently was an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. She is currently commercializing microwave technology for the mining industry with Sepro Mineral Systems, and is a Founding Director of Aurora Hydrogen, a start-up developing technology for emission-free hydrogen production.
Mr. Chalmers is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Energy Fuels, a position he has held since February 1, 2018. From July 1, 2017 to January 31, 2018, Mr. Chalmers was President and Chief Operating Officer of Energy Fuels, and from July 1, 2016 to July 1, 2017, he was Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation. From 2011 to 2015, Mr. Chalmers served as Executive General Manager of Production for Paladin Energy Ltd., a uranium producer with assets in Australia and Africa, including the Langer Heinrich and Kayelekera mines where, as head of operations, he oversaw sustained, significant increases in production while reducing operating costs. He also possesses extensive experience in in situ recovery (“ISR”) uranium production, including management of the Beverley Uranium Mine owned by General Atomics (Australia), and the Highland mine owned by Cameco Corporation (USA). Mr. Chalmers has also consulted to several of the largest players in the uranium supply sector, including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, and Marubeni, and until recently served as the Chair of the Australian Uranium Council, a position he held for 10 years. Mr. Chalmers is a registered professional engineer, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Kendra is the President and CEO of the Association for Mineral Exploration (“AME”). She is a Professional Geologist and senior mining executive with over 15 years of experience in various facets of the mineral exploration and mining industry. Having spent most of her career working in BC and Yukon, she is a passionate industry advocate for responsible mineral exploration. With a strong, inclusive and collaborative leadership style, Kendra provides AME with extensive, knowledge and experience in public geoscience, financial and capital markets, Indigenous engagement, as well as the social and regulatory landscapes that affect mineral exploration. Kendra’s leadership and advocacy helps to promote British Columbia as the top global jurisdiction for responsible and inclusive mineral exploration and development and as a major international hub for an industry that shares AME’s core values. Kendra graduated from the University of Victoria with BSc in Earth Sciences and Geography and the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University with an MBA. Kendra also holds a Certificate in Responsible Leadership from Queen’s University and a Certificate in Mining Law from York University. Before joining AME, Kendra was the President of Independence Gold Corp., a BC and Yukon explorer, with increasing levels of responsibility from Project Geologist to President. She has also sat on numerous Boards, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Britannia Mine Museum.
Dean Gehring was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in June 2019 after joining Newmont as Regional Senior Vice President, South America in June 2017. He brings over 25 years of global operational experience, having lived in Canada, Indonesia, Peru and the US.
Prior to joining Newmont, he spent 14 years with global miner Rio Tinto, in a variety of executive roles including President and Chief Executive Officer of Rio Tinto Minerals, Global Head of Safety and Security and General Manager of Resource Development for the Oyu Tolgoi mine in Mongolia.
Dean previously worked as Manager of Technical Services at Freeport’s Grasberg mine and held various operational and technical roles with BHP Billiton prior to working for Freeport. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Idaho, and his Master’s of Science in Project Management from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Dean holds a Nevada Professional Engineering registration and Project Management Professional certification. In addition to having published papers for mining and project management journals, he has served on university advisory boards and is currently the co-chair of the SME Foundation Corporate Giving Committee.
Ken Hoffman is a Senior Expert for McKinsey’s Basic Materials Institute (BMI). He Co- leads the Firm’s EV Battery Material Research Group and has worked on over 50 EV value chain client projects. His team looks at the impact on raw materials due to the rapid development of advanced battery technologies. He has co-written articles on nickel in EV’s, and a cobalt and lithium paper. Prior to McKinsey, Ken was the global head of metals and mining research for Bloomberg Intelligence Prior to Bloomberg Mr Hoffman was a head of equity research, analyst, and portfolio manager in the commodity and industrial growth area.
A CFA charter holder, Mr. Hoffman holds a BS in finance from Syracuse University and an MBA from Duke University.
Mr. Anthony Milewski is the Chairman of Nickel 28 Capital Corp. He has spent his career in various aspects of the mining industry, including as a company director, advisor, founder and investor. In particular, he has been active in commodities related to decarbonization and energy transition, including nickel, cobalt, copper and carbon credits. Anthony has served on the London Metals Exchange Cobalt Committee, which includes representatives from the largest mining and commodities companies globally. Anthony Milewski previously worked at Renaissance Capital and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Moscow, where he focused on advisory and transactional work in metals & mining and oil & gas sectors. He has lived and worked in Africa and Russia, including a year as a Fulbright scholar, and has spent considerable time in Central Asia. Mr. Milewski holds a B.A. in Russian history from Brigham Young University, an M.A. in Russian and Central Asian Studies from the University of Washington, and a J.D. from the University of Washington.
With an extensive background in law, tax and finance, Ron has blended his proven talent for recognizing, structuring and implementing innovative, yet conservative, financing structures with a sincere, lifelong dedication to supporting philanthropic causes. Amongst his accomplishments, Ron has structured and created an investment fund listed with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, a REIT listed on the American Stock Exchange, and a family of tax-efficient mutual funds for investment dealers. As early as 2004, Ron presented the use of flow through shares to philanthropists and charities as a way to reduce the after-tax cost of giving. Ron has the ability to productize tax-efficient financial products that meet both the policy and technical requirements of the tax legislation and he was the driving force in the first flow through donation transactions, the first CRA ruling and the first Revenu Quebec ruling.
Mr. Troy Boisjoli, previously held positions of Vice President Operations and Project Development and Vice President Exploration and Community for NexGen Energy Ltd. While at NexGen, Troy has led the project team through the development of the Arrow Deposit in northern Saskatchewan and was involved with major milestones such as multiple mineral resource estimates, the preliminary economic assessment, the prefeasibility study, the feasibility study, operations development, the environmental assessment work done to-date, and multiple discoveries along the Patterson Lake corridor. In addition, and foundational to mineral resource development, Troy maintained and established important local relationships with communities close to the Arrow project resulting in the successful signing of Impact Benefit Agreements with two Indigenous communities.
Jim Currie has more than 40 years of experience in the mining industry and has been responsible for the construction and operation of mines in a number of countries around the world. He is the former Chief Operating Officer of TSX and NYSE-listed Equinox Gold, Pretium Resources and New Gold. He holds a B.Sc. Degree from Queen’s University in Mining Engineering and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia. Mr. Currie is the 2014 Co-Winner of AME BC’s prestigious EA Scholtz Award for Excellence in Mine Development for his role in building New Gold’s New Afton mine.
Lisa Davis is the CEO of PearTree Securities, a boutique financing firm focused on the junior Canadian resource sector. Drawing on her knowledge of securities regulation gained while on secondment to the Ontario Securities Commission and as General Counsel for a specialized investment fund business, Lisa is also responsible for the legal and compliance aspects of the firm’s business. She has earned her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and currently serves as a director of Signature Resources Ltd. Lisa is also a past director and co-chair of the Finance & Taxation Committee of PDAC and a member of the Advisory Board for LIGHTS, a program aimed at addressing the shortage of appropriate housing for intellectually disabled citizens.
Mr. Dembicki brings over 10 years of corporate finance and wealth management experience; dealing with high-net-worth individuals, corporations and institutional clientele. As a member of Canaccord Genuity, he structured and oversaw numerous multi-million dollar private, public and bought-deal financings in the mining and natural resource sectors. Mr. Dembicki’s industry designations include: Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices (CPH) and Wealth Management Essentials (WME). Throughout his tenure at Canaccord, he continuously added to his compliance and education credits, positioning himself above the industry standards of continuing education. Mr. Dembicki is a Graduate from the University of Washington in Seattle, with a degree in Communications.
Matt Halliday, P.Geo, President, COO and VP Exploration of Canada Silver Cobalt Works, is a professional geologist who has more than 15 years of exploration experience in precious and base metals including with SGS GeoStat on projects around the world and more recently in the Cobalt Camp/Abitibi area with Kirkland Lake Gold and First Cobalt prior to joining CCW in 2019.
Mr. Henrichsen is a structural geologist and leads the Torq technical team. Previously, Mr. Henrichsen was the global structural geologist at Newmont, where his contributions significantly increased the reserves and resources base in the Ahafo district in Ghana. Mr. Henrichsen has also worked extensively at other major gold camps in South America, the Carlin Trend, Guinea and Canada.
Mr. Spreadborough was previously CEO of Metals X Limited, Managing Director & CEO of Nusantara Resources and Non-Executive Director of CleanTeQ Holdings. He has a mining engineering background, with over 20 years’ experience in mining lead, zinc, uranium, copper, gold and iron ore. He has held roles across the scope of the industry from business and project development, to operations and exploration. In recent times, Mike was the General Manager – Mining for WMC, and then later the Vice President – Mining for BHP Billiton at the world-class Olympic Dam Mine in South Australia. Mike was previously the General Manager – Coastal Operations for Rio Tinto, responsible for port operations and Pannawonica mine site. He then assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer for Inova Resources Ltd (formerly Ivanhoe Australia) and Sandfire Resources. Mike holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from the University of Queensland, an MBA from Deakin University, and a WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr. Smithson (M.Sc.) is an ore deposit geologist responsible for global exploration and discovery at Tier One Silver. Previously, Mr. Smithson worked as a global gold specialist for Newmont where he contributed to gold-ounce reserve expansions at the Ahafo, Yanacocha and Carlin districts, amongst others. More recently, Mr. Smithson led the technical success at the Barqueño gold-copper project in Jalisco, Mexico, which culminated in its purchase by Agnico Eagle Mines, for $205M. Mr. Smithson holds a Master of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and has nineteen years of experience.
As the Company’s CEO, President & Director, James Sykes brings more than 15 years of Athabasca Basin uranium exploration experience and success to Baselode Energy Corp. (TSXV: FIND, OTCQB: BSENF), which formed in June, 2020. James has been directly and indirectly involved with the discovery of over 550 M lbs. of U3O8 in the Athabasca, including leading the discovery team for NexGen Energy’s Arrow deposit, having provided invaluable work on Hathor Exploration’s Roughrider deposits, and he was also a member of the Denison Mines exploration team that prioritized the targets that eventually became the Phoenix and Gryphon deposits. James and the Baselode team have demonstrated their understanding of Athabasca exploration by having achieved success in the Company’s first drill program with a new uranium discovery called ACKIO.
A Brixton Metals Co-founder, Mr. Thompson has over 25 years of project management and resource
exploration experience in precious-base metals exploration including oil & gas and geothermal power. Mr. Thompson
holds several discovery credits. Previous employment and experience include both junior and major mining and energy companies including Newmont Mining, NovaGold Resources and Encana Corporation. Mr. Thompson’s Cayley Geothermal went public in 2006 through the acquisition Sierra Geothermal Power where he was CEO until it was acquired by Ram Power in 2010.
Mr. Usenmez is a Geological Engineer and a mining entrepreneur with over 20 years of global experience and has worked in various technical and leadership roles. After working with various VMS deposits and discoveries while working with Inco, Vale and Amec, he managed a drilling company, where the company grew during the downturn. He worked in numerous VMS deposits in Canada, such as Duck Pond NFLD, Bathurst in New Brunswick, and in Northern Manitoba, mainly in base metals, such as Zinc. He co-owns Atom Bits, a rapidly growing diamond drilling bit manufacturer in Canada. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the PDAC and is the Co-Chair of Public Affairs Committee.
Mr. Wallace has been involved in all aspects of the mining industry, from mineral exploration and project management, to financing, mergers & acquisitions and corporate development. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Wallace has been instrumental in building numerous high-quality mineral exploration, development and production companies, including co-founding Cayden Resources, which was acquired by Agnico Eagle Mines for $205M. Mr. Wallace is also co-founder and Director of Asanko Gold (now Galiano Gold), Co-Chair and Director of Tier One Silver and Chair and Director of Sombrero Resources.
Dr. Willoughby is a mining engineer with 38 years of experience in all aspects of natural resources development. Since 2014, he has been principal and owner of consulting firm Willoughby & Associates, PLLC. Prior to that, he was President and COO of International Enexco Ltd., which was acquired by Denison Mines in 2014. He previously held various positions with Teck (Cominco). Dr. Willoughby has been a Professional Engineer since 1985 and received his Doctorate in Mining Engineering & Metallurgy from the University of Idaho in 1989.
Mr. Gallagher is a Professional Mining Engineer with over 35 years of experience in mine operations, projects and executive management. He was most recently CEO of North American Palladium where he lead an operational turn-around which culminated in the sale of the company to Impala Platinum of South Africa late in 2019. Previously Mr Gallagher was Global Director of Mining for Hatch leading a large mine design and EPCM team on numerous projects around the world. He also spent over 20 years with Falconbridge in a number of engineering, project and operational management roles. Mr Gallagher has been a board member of Harte Gold, Continental Gold and the Ontario Mining association.
Matt Halliday, P.Geo, President, COO and VP Exploration of Canada Silver Cobalt Works, is a professional geologist who has more than 15 years of exploration experience in precious and base metals including with SGS GeoStat on projects around the world and more recently in the Cobalt Camp/Abitibi area with Kirkland Lake Gold and First Cobalt prior to joining CCW in 2019.
Stuart Harshaw is a seasoned mining executive with a successful international career with Vale SA and Inco Limited. Most recently, as Vice President of Ontario Operations for Vale, Mr. Harshaw was responsible for the base metal operations of Vale in Ontario, which includes six underground mines, mill, smelter, nickel refinery, cobalt refinery, precious metal refinery and hydro-electric production facilities. Previously, he held various senior roles with Vale including the marketing and sales of a broad range of metal concentrates and finished metals worldwide. Since leaving Vale, he has been consulting in the global mining business and is a member of the Board of Directors of several mining companies, as well as Laurentian University of Sudbury, Canada. Mr. Harshaw earned a BSc. in Metallurgical Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from Laurentian University.
Mr. Jarvis has more than 30 years’ experience in exploration and development of mineral resources. After a career in financing exploration projects as a stockbroker, Mr. Jarvis moved to the corporate side of the business in 1996. He joined the Board of Ultra Petroleum, which at the time was a small oil and gas exploration and development company with a large, unconventional gas deposit. As Director responsible for Corporate Finance, he raised the equity capital necessary to prove the concept and to establish enough production to finance further growth with debt. Mr. Jarvis became CEO of Giga Metals Corporation’s predecessor company in January 2004. During his tenure, the company has drilled off a giant nickel/cobalt deposit, worked out a reliable metallurgical circuit, and published a Preliminary Economic Assessment.
Jean-Marc Lacoste earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from McGill University in Montreal. In 1993 Mr. Lacoste started a career in finance at the Montreal Stock Exchange where he worked for National Bank Financial and, subsequently, Merrill Lynch Canada. In 2000 he left Montreal for Toronto to join Northland Power, a wind power energy corporation, as Vice President of Acquisitions.
He returned to Montreal in 2002 where he joined the boards of a few public and private companies. From 2004 to 2010, he took a major role in Golden Goose Resources Inc. where he became President and CEO and COB. Felix Lee is an economic geologist with over 30 years in the mineral exploration industry and is the President and CEO of Willeson Metals Corp., a junior explorer with gold properties in the Lynn Lake area of northern Manitoba. Most recently he was also the President of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and served on the on the association’s Board of Directors for 14 years as well as its Executive, Governance & Nominating, Human Resources Development, Membership, and Awards committees. Prior to joining Willeson Metals, Felix was a Director and Principal Consultant with CSA Global Canada from 2016-2020 and President and owner of the Toronto-based mining and geological consultancy, A.C.A. Howe International Limited from 2003-2016.
Felix is a registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in the province of Ontario. He received his B.Sc. in Geology from McMaster University in 1986 and earned the Kellogg-Schulich MBA in 2005.
Mr. Magnan was former Technical Manager of Nemaska Lithium Inc. from the early development stage of 2012 to the construction stage of the 1.2B$ project until the beginning of 2020. Prior to that, he held several positions within the industry such as R&D Advisor, R&D Project Manager, Consultant and Quality control metallurgist. He also acted as a promoter and Project Manager for Phostech Lithium Inc. at the early stage. Phostech Lithium now became today the Johnson Matthey Battery Material Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LFP) plant in Québec, Canada. Mr. Magnan is the owner of many patents in the lithium rechargeable batteries field. He holds a master’s Degree in Materials Engineering from Laval University (2000). Until now, he has participated in the development and marketing of several new technologies during his career. He is co-author of patents from the University of Montreal, Hydro-Québec and the CNRS on lithium iron phosphate Cathode Active Material (CAM). These patents have been sublicensed worldwide by LiFePO4 + C Licensing AG in 2011. LiFePO4+C Licensing represents the patent owners for this technology: Hydro-Québec (Montréal); Université de Montréal; and Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, Paris). After he left Nemaska Lithium, he immediately joined NORAM in March of 2020 to pursue the optimization of the NorScand membrane electrolysis technology and commercialization to other applications related to the circular economy of the lithium-ion battery supply chain.
Ernest Mast is the President and CEO of Doré Copper Mining Corp. He joined the company as a founder in June 2017. He has 30 years of experience in various technical and executive roles in the mining industry, across a wide range of commodities, geographies and development stages.
Mr. Mast is a Board member of Scottie Resources Corp. (a public company with a past producing gold mine in the Golden Triangle of British Colombia) and Libero Copper & Gold (a public company with copper porphyry deposits in the Americas). He has served as the President and CEO at Primero Mining Corp, Vice President Corporate Development at Copper Mountain Mining Corporation, Vice President Operations at New Gold Inc, and President and CEO at Minera Panama S.A., a subsidiary of Inmet Mining, developing the $6B Cobre Panama project. He started his career at Noranda and subsequent companies (Falconbridge and Xstrata). He was the President and GM of Falconbridge Dominicana, an integrated 28,000 tpy nickel producer in the Dominican Republic.
Mr. Mast is a member of l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and has a Bachelors’ and Masters’ degree in metallurgical engineering from McGill University. Mr. Mast also received post-secondary business training at Henley College in the UK and at the Universidad Catolica in Chile.
A geologist with fourteen years international experience in the exploration industry, Dr. Moss was instrumental in the discovery of the Navachab gold deposit in Namibia which, after 12 years of operation, still contains reserves and resources of 3.7 million oz gold. He has conducted extensive research on hydrothermal ore deposits, culminating with a Ph.D. in geology at the University of Toronto in 2000. Prior to joining Nikos, Dr. Moss was Vice President, Exploration for Amerigo Resources Ltd.
Scott Parsons is Vice President, Exploration at Alamos Gold Inc. Scott has more than 15 years of experience in progressively senior exploration roles. Prior to joining Alamos, he was Manager of Regional Exploration and Geoscience at TMAC Resources where he was responsible for resource expansion and regional exploration of the Hope Bay Project in Nunavut. Previously, Mr. Parsons served as Vice President, Corporate Development at Northern Superior Resources Inc., and as Exploration Geologist and later Project Geologist, Resource Development & Long-Range Planning at BHP Billiton.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University. Mr. Parsons is a registered Professional Geoscientist in Ontario and Manitoba, and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Blaine Pedersen was first elected as MLA for Midland Constituency in 2007 and re-elected in 2011, 2016 and 2019. Blaine served as Minister of Infrastructure from 2016 until August 2017 when he was designated Minister of Growth, Enterprise and Trade. In October of 2019, he was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture and Resource Development. Prior to being elected, Blaine and his wife Dianne operated a successful cattle and grain operation in the Elm Creek area for over 30 years. Blaine and Dianne have three married children and six grandchildren. Blaine has always been an active community volunteer, an avid outdoorsman, and passionate advocate for rural Manitoba.
Jean-Charles (JC) Potvin, a co-founder of the Company, was President and CEO of Murchison from inception to November 2015 and resumed that role in December 2018 and has been a director since 2007. JC was President and CEO of Pangea Goldfields Inc., which had extensive holdings in Tanzania, until its acquisition in July 2000 by Barrick Gold Corporation for $204 million. Until 1994, he was a Director and Vice-President of Burns Fry (subsequently BMO Nesbitt Burns and currently BMO Capital Markets) and responsible for evaluating world-wide mining investment opportunities as a top-ranked Equity Research Gold Analyst. JC served as the Chairman of Vaaldiam Mining Inc. from 1992 to 2012 (formerly Tiomin Resources). He is currently the President and CEO of Golden Sun Resources which owns the Bellavista gold mine in Central America and is a director and Audit Committee member of Azimut Exploration Inc. and Gold Reserve Inc. both public exploration and development companies.
Ms. Ramnath is a Professional Geoscientist and award-winning Entrepreneur with over 20 years of global industry experience. Ms. Shastri Ramnath is the President and CEO of Exiro Minerals Corp, a private mineral exploration company that she co-founded and is a significant shareholder. In 2012 she co-founded and currently co-owns Orix Geoscience Inc., a geological consulting firm. She has worked in various technical and leadership roles including, FNX Mining where she was a key member of the exploration and resource team that discovered the Victoria and Morrison Deposits and subsequently with Bridgeport Ventures, a publicly listed company, where she was the President and CEO.
Her private directorship roles include companies she’s co-founded: Willeson Metals Corp (Chair), Exiro Minerals Corp (director), Qualitica Consulting (director/co-owner) and Orix Geoscience (Chair/Co-owner). Her current publicly traded directorships include Jaguar Mining (JAG:TSX), 1911 Gold Corp (TSX-v:AUMB) and Meteoric Resources (ASX: MEI). Ms. Ramnath is also the Chair of the Minister’s Liaison Committee (MLCME) in Manitoba, an advisor to the Goodman School of Mines at Laurentian University and founding director of Central Canadian Mineral Exploration Convention (CCMEC) in Manitoba.

Randal Sarrazin has extensive sulphuric acid and sulphur dioxide plant process and operating experience. He spent 18 years as a lead operator and 10 years as Plant Manger and Chief Power Engineer at a Sulphuric Acid and Sulphur Dioxide production plant in northern B.C., Canada. During this time, he was the Project Manager for the implementation of a CAD 15M plant equipment upgrade projects and managed an annual operating and maintenance budget of CAD 5M. He spent 8 years managing the technical specifications and maintenance for a fleet of 5,220 chemical tank cars during which time he was responsible for the chemical Emergency Response coordination and was certified as a Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Tank Car Specialist.
He joined NORAM Engineering and Constructors Ltd. in February 2020 as the Technical Sales and Operations Manager in the Sulphuric Acid Group, responsible for the sale and marketing of NORAM’s equipment and services including providing field services and inspections for operating plants.

Mark has over 30 years experience providing strategic advice on metal markets, exploration, development projects, operating mines and corporate development. Mark’s expertise includes asset evaluation, benchmarking and optimisation, and encompasses, geology, mining, ore processing, and mining finance. He has conducted investment appraisals of numerous companies, mining projects and mining sector services businesses. Prior to co-founding Skarn, Mark led the metals & mining consulting business at SNL Financial.
His career started in 1987 as an exploration geologist with Anglo American Corporation in Southern Africa. He went on to work for junior diamond and gold explorers in West and East Africa. He subsequently spent 13 years at Brook Hunt & Associates Ltd (now Wood Mackenzie) where he held the position of Director with primary responsibility for bespoke consulting work. From 2009 Mark was Managing Director of GFMS Mine Economics Limited, a business co-founded with GFMS Limited, which was sold to Thomson Reuters in 2011.
Mark graduated from University of Liverpool with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology.
Luke Mahony is Head of Technology and Innovation for Vale Base Metals. This role includes leading the Low Carbon Agenda for Base Metals.
Prior to moving to Canada, Luke headed up the Planning and Engineering department for Vale’s Coal Business based in Mozambique for 5 years. Prior to working for Vale, he worked 10 years for BHP in various managerial roles covering technical, operational and financial positions.

Maarten van Koppen joined MacLean in May 2020 and is currently transitioning into VP, Product Management. Maarten brings 12 years of experience as a mining engineer in Canada. Maarten graduated with a Masters of Science in Resource Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands in 2008 and completed his MBA at the Edinburgh Business School with Specialism in Strategic Planning in 2019.
For the majority of Maarten’s career, he focussed on project development, with the most notable project being the all-electric Borden Mine Project in Northeastern Ontario. Maarten’s role was to oversee all engineering from scratch to prefeasibility study, and to compile the prefeasibility study and business case. After completion of that study Maarten continued to be involved in long term engineering challenges and in securing significant public funding for the project. Borden achieved commercial production on schedule and under budget in 2019. In Maarten’s new role at MacLean he oversees the product portfolio and product & technology development pipeline to continue to bring value to MacLean customers for years to come.
Daniella is Executive Vice President and the CFO of IAMGOLD Corporation where she oversees all aspects of finance, information technology and investor relations. She joined IAMGOLD in the spring of 2021 from Sprott Capital Partners, where she was Partner, Investment Banking. Prior to Sprott, she served as CEO of Orvana Minerals, a junior gold/copper producer, as Executive Vice Chair of Baffinland Iron, an iron ore developer, as COO of Dundee Securities, and in various corporate development roles in mining and financial services. Daniella also has 15+ years of governance experience serving or having served on a number of boards in mining, oil and gas and industrials space. She is currently a director of Nexa Resources, Chemtrade Logistics and a member of the Mining Advisory Group to the Ontario government.
Dr. Erin R. Bobicki is an Associate Professor of mineral processing in the department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta. Professor Bobicki’s research interests include microwave applications in mineral processing, comminution, bioreagent development, the rheology of complex mineral slurries, and value recovery from waste materials. She has worked as a researcher and plant metallurgist for Vale, as a Process Technology Development Engineer for Intel Corporation, and most recently was an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. She is currently commercializing microwave technology for the mining industry with Sepro Mineral Systems, and is a Founding Director of Aurora Hydrogen, a start-up developing technology for emission-free hydrogen production.
Dr. Stefan Hrabar has been at the forefront of drone autonomy R&D for nearly 20 years. Following his PhD in Computer Science / Robotics on this topic, he spent 13 years at CSIRO where he continued his work on vision and lidar-based perception and navigation for drones. He led the development and commercialisation of Hovermap in CSIRO, and co-founded Emesent in 2018 to bring this ground-breaking technology to market.
Marc C. Elliott, has over 25 years of experience with Eaton Corporation serving in roles of sales engineer, product manager, engineering manager, regional sales manager and plant manager before being appointed to his current role as Marketing Director – Mining, Metals & Minerals and Pulp, Paper & Wood of Eaton’s electrical business. Marc has a broad range of experience with industry solutions related to power distribution, energy management, motor control and factory automation serving the process industries. He is involved in a variety of global industry standards and presently serves as an active member of the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Cement Industry Committee, the IEEE IAS Pulp and Paper Industry Committee, the Association of Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) Electrical Applications Technical Committee and the AIST Digital Transformation Committee.
Jeffrey Walsh, has over 22 years of experience with Eaton Industries Canada. During that time, he’s served in roles of increasing responsibilities including, VFD product specialist, technology application engineer, and plant manager before being appointed to his current role as product line manager for industrial controls. Jeff has a broad range of experience with industry solutions related to low voltage power distribution and motor control.
Gary Poxleitner is a Principal Mining Engineer and Practice Leader at SRK’s Sudbury office. He has 30 years of underground mine engineering experience in including technical support, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, audits, mine cost estimation, mine process optimization and operational improvement. Gary has worked with almost every extractable commodity, from near surface to ultra-deep producing mines in over 45 nations and on every continent. Within Canada, he has worked at Giant Mine in Yellowknife, Myra Falls Mine on Vancouver Island, and multiple nickel-copper mines within the Sudbury Basin. Gary serves on a number of boards, including with SRK Consulting, CIM and Camiro.
Harold Jonker serves as the Underground Drills Business Line Manager for Sandvik Mining and Rock Technologies in Canada, where he oversees supply of underground hard-rock drilling solutions and drives drilling innovations that add value to the mining industry.
Prior to his current role, Harold held a product management position in Australia supporting the market with application knowledge on Sandvik’s range of development drills, production drills, mobile raise bore drills, and ground support drills.
He holds a Bachelor in Engineering from the University of Manitoba and diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Red River College.
Siri has spent over 25 years working on major capital projects around the world. She has worked in the Natural Resource and Infrastructure industries.
During the course of her career, Siri has developed particular expertise in Sustainability & ESG, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, with a strong focus on Project Management and Supply Chain. Siri has worked with the Board Room, Leadership as well as Project Delivery teams. Siri currently runs BRIDGE©, a boutique consultancy providing non-quantitative strategy services, advising her clients on ESG and Risk Management interfacing with Commercial and Supply Chain issues.
Prior to running her own business Siri worked with BHP Canada as Head of Project Services. Siri is a director of the PDAC, Co-chair of the Sustainability and Lands and Regulations Committees. She is a member of Council of the PGO, as well as a director of two exploration mining companies. Siri recently received the 2019 “Distinguished Lecturer Award for CSR” from the Canadian Institute of Mining.
Ian MacLean began his Investor Relations career in 1996 with Nevsun Resources Ltd. In 2001, Mr. MacLean joined Bema Gold Corporation as Manager, Investor Relations and was appointed Vice President, Investor Relations in 2006.

Peter Marrone is the Executive Chairman of Yamana Gold Inc., which he founded in 2003. He has more than 35 years of mining, business, and capital markets experience. He has been on the boards of a number of public companies and has advised companies with a strong South American and North American presence. Mr. Marrone currently sits on the board of directors of Aris Gold Corporation.
Prior to Yamana, Mr. Marrone was the head of investment banking at a major Canadian investment bank and before that practiced law in Toronto with a strong focus on corporate law, securities law and international transactions.
Mr. Christian is Managing Partner of CPM Group, a precious metals and commodities research and consulting firm. He founded CPM Group in 1986 when he bought the Commodities Research Group he managed from J. Aron and Goldman Sachs. He is a globally recognized authority on the markets for precious metals and is well known for his application of economics and econometrics across commodities markets. He has written two books, Commodities Rising in 2005 and World Guide To Battery-Powered Road Transportation in 1979.
He also is well known for his financial engineering work using commodities derivatives both for hedging and investment purposes and has worked with numerous governments, central banks, mining companies, industrial companies, investment banks, and institutional investors.
Ryan has more than a decade of experience in finance. Previously, he spent five years in operations finance with Inmet Mining Corporation, where he led a project to build the life-of-mine model for Cobre Panama, one of the largest copper development projects in the world. He also led the worldwide annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, oversaw operational financial reporting and analysis, and conducted scenario analysis for strategic decision-making. He then joined Enirgi Group Corporation where he oversaw financial planning, asset modeling and corporate governance. Most recently he was with Primero Mining Corp., initially as Director of Finance and Treasurer and later as Chief Financial Officer, where he was part of the team that negotiated the friendly merger of Primero with First Majestic Silver in 2018. Prior to entering the mining industry, Ryan obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation with KPMG LLP.
Trent holds an EMBA from the Kellogg School of Management and Schulich School of Business, a LL.M from Osgoode Hall as well as a B.A., B.C.L. and LL.B. from McGill University.
Nicole Brewster brings an early career in capital markets and a successful private practice as an exploration contractor, experienced in acquiring and leveraging data, to execute targeted exploration for clients. This supported a re-invigoration of Renforth, today with five mineralized assets, including the Parbec open pit gold deposit on the Cadillac Break, adjacent to the Canadian Malartic Mine. Renforth’s Surimeau District Project is a 260 sq. Km land package south of the Cadillac Break which hosts 6 historic polymetallic mineral occurrences, specifically nickel and copper, along with a handful of gold showings. Renforth just completed significant drill programs, at Parbec >15,000m to support an upcoming resource restatement and at Surimeau, on the Victoria West Target area, drilling 2.2 kms of strike within the 5 kms long target, with each of the 15 holes drilled returning nickel, copper and zinc visual mineralization in the core. Assay results for both programs are being released as received.

Ms. Clark is presently the Founder of 3 financial technology companies, who also started grew and sold 3 prior companies, and twice awarded the “Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada” in 2017 and 2019.
Ms. Clark is an Independent Corporate Director and presently the Chair of the Board for Ethel Capital Corporation, a private equity company, and Independent Board of Director for a North American Futures, Options and Swaps Securities Exchange. Patrick Donnelly is Vice President, Corporate Communications & Development for Trilogy Metals and has a broad range of experience in mineral exploration, capital markets, corporate development and investor relations. He began his career as a project geologist 25 years ago exploring for precious and base metals and diamonds in western and northern Canada. Subsequently, Mr. Donnelly worked for a Canadian securities firm as a base metals mining analyst. Mr. Donnelly holds a B.Sc. in Geology (Honors) from the University of British Columbia and has an MBA from the University of Toronto.
Henry has worked in a range of resource-rich countries around the world and on a range of ESG topics, working with clients to understand and manage their climate change issues. Henry joined Critical Resource from africapractice where he spent 12 months working on stakeholder engagement and media relations at a large mining project in Guinea. Prior to gaining his MSc in in ‘Political Economy of Late Development’ at the London School of Economics, Henry spent time in Washington D.C. at the Stimson Centre, working on non-traditional security threats in the Indian Ocean region, including natural resource and water issues. He also worked at Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty in the insurance sector. Henry earned an MA in History and Politics at Edinburgh University. For five years Henry also authored a blog on China’s engagement with Africa. He has written extensively on the subject, and appeared on international radio and television programs to discuss on a number of these topics.
Ms. Hibbard is an international mining CEO with over 30 years of experience spanning all facets of the mineral resources industry from early-stage exploration to mine development and production. Independent director and board advisor on numerous corporate boards. Prior to her stewardship of public companies, Ms. Hibbard began her career in mining by practicing corporate and securities law with clients ranging from multi-national mining operators to mineral resource explorers and individual prospectors.
Notable achievements include negotiating the acquisition of the Detour gold mine property for Pelangio Larder Mines and participating in founding Detour Gold Corp., a Canadian gold mining company which attained a market capitalization in excess of $5 billion. Ms. Hibbard also negotiated the acquisition of a district size land package in Ghana, adjacent to the 70 million ounce Obuasi Mine owned by AngloGold Ashanti.
A geologist with fourteen years international experience in the exploration industry. Dr. Moss was instrumental in the discovery of the Navachab gold deposit in Namibia which, after 12 years of operation, still contains reserves and resources of 3.7 million oz gold. He has conducted extensive research on hydrothermal ore deposits, culminating with a Ph.D. in geology at the University of Toronto in 2000. Prior to joining Nikos, Dr. Moss was Vice President, Exploration for Amerigo Resources Ltd.
Louise Pearce leads ERM’s global materials, metals and mining advisory team, which operates in every mining region around the world. Having spent the early years of her career testing and logging soil and rock core, Louise now has over 25 years of international experience in sustainability consulting. She concentrates on developing corporate strategy and risk management programs, with particular expertise in complex global due diligence and post-merger integrations.

Dr. Richard Spencer, appointed to Aurania’s Board of Directors in 2017, is a PhD Geologist with 33 years of experience in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela. While in Ecuador, he led Gencor Ltd.’s exploration team that made the grassroots discovery of the San Carlos, Mirador and Panantza porphyries that contain an estimated 24 billion pounds of copper and 3 million ounces of gold. Dr. Spencer also worked at IAMGOLD Corp. where his team discovered the Quimsacocha – Loma Larga deposit in Ecuador, containing resources of 3.3 million ounces of gold and 23 million ounces of silver. He later joined Crystallex International Corp. as VP-Exploration, working on the Las Cristinas gold deposit in Venezuela, where his team increased the gold reserves by 65% from 10.2 million to 16.8 million ounces.

Mr. Gallagher is a Professional Mining Engineer with over 35 years of experience in mine operations, projects and executive management. Previously Mr Gallagher was Global Director of Mining for Hatch leading a large mine design and EPCM team on numerous projects around the world. He also spent over 20 years with Falconbridge in a number of engineering, project and operational management roles. Mr Gallagher has been a board member of Harte Gold, Continental Gold and the Ontario Mining association.
Matt Halliday, P.Geo, President, COO and VP Exploration of Canada Silver Cobalt Works, is a professional geologist who has more than 15 years of exploration experience in precious and base metals including with SGS GeoStat on projects around the world and more recently in the Cobalt Camp/Abitibi area with Kirkland Lake Gold and First Cobalt prior to joining CCW in 2019.
Stuart Harshaw is a seasoned mining executive with a successful international career with Vale SA and Inco Limited. Most recently, as Vice President of Ontario Operations for Vale, Mr. Harshaw was responsible for the base metal operations of Vale in Ontario, which includes six underground mines, mill, smelter, nickel refinery, cobalt refinery, precious metal refinery and hydro-electric production facilities. Previously, he held various senior roles with Vale including the marketing and sales of a broad range of metal concentrates and finished metals worldwide. Since leaving Vale, he has been consulting in the global mining business and is a member of the Board of Directors of several mining companies, as well as Laurentian University of Sudbury, Canada. Mr. Harshaw earned a BSc. in Metallurgical Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from Laurentian University.
Mr. Jarvis has more than 30 years’ experience in exploration and development of mineral resources. After a career in financing exploration projects as a stockbroker, Mr. Jarvis moved to the corporate side of the business in 1996. He joined the Board of Ultra Petroleum, which at the time was a small oil and gas exploration and development company with a large, unconventional gas deposit. As Director responsible for Corporate Finance, he raised the equity capital necessary to prove the concept and to establish enough production to finance further growth with debt. Mr. Jarvis became CEO of Giga Metals Corporation’s predecessor company in January 2004. During his tenure, the company has drilled off a giant nickel/cobalt deposit, worked out a reliable metallurgical circuit, and published a Preliminary Economic Assessment.
Jean-Marc Lacoste earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from McGill University in Montreal. In 1993 Mr. Lacoste started a career in finance at the Montreal Stock Exchange where he worked for National Bank Financial and, subsequently, Merrill Lynch Canada. In 2000 he left Montreal for Toronto to join Northland Power, a wind power energy corporation, as Vice President of Acquisitions.
He returned to Montreal in 2002 where he joined the boards of a few public and private companies. From 2004 to 2010, he took a major role in Golden Goose Resources Inc. where he became President and CEO and COB. As CEO of Monarch Gold he successfully turned a 2M market cap company into a 200M transaction with Yamana in less than 8yrs. Mr. Lacoste has great leadership skills and will be a tremendous asset for Monarch Mining Corporation.
Felix Lee is an economic geologist with over 30 years in the mineral exploration industry and is the President and CEO of Willeson Metals Corp., a junior explorer with gold properties in the Lynn Lake area of northern Manitoba. Most recently he was also the President of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and served on the on the association’s Board of Directors for 14 years as well as its Executive, Governance & Nominating, Human Resources Development, Membership, and Awards committees. Prior to joining Willeson Metals, Felix was a Director and Principal Consultant with CSA Global Canada from 2016-2020 and President and owner of the Toronto-based mining and geological consultancy, A.C.A. Howe International Limited from 2003-2016.
Felix is a registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in the province of Ontario. He received his B.Sc. in Geology from McMaster University in 1986 and earned the Kellogg-Schulich MBA in 2005.
Mr. Magnan was former Technical Manager of Nemaska Lithium Inc. from the early development stage of 2012 to the construction stage of the 1.2B$ project until the beginning of 2020. Prior to that, he held several positions within the industry such as R&D Advisor, R&D Project Manager, Consultant and Quality control metallurgist. He also acted as a promoter and Project Manager for Phostech Lithium Inc. at the early stage. Phostech Lithium now became today the Johnson Matthey Battery Material Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LFP) plant in Québec, Canada. Mr. Magnan is the owner of many patents in the lithium rechargeable batteries field. He holds a master’s Degree in Materials Engineering from Laval University (2000). Until now, he has participated in the development and marketing of several new technologies during his career. He is co-author of patents from the University of Montreal, Hydro-Québec and the CNRS on lithium iron phosphate Cathode Active Material (CAM). These patents have been sublicensed worldwide by LiFePO4 + C Licensing AG in 2011. LiFePO4+C Licensing represents the patent owners for this technology: Hydro-Québec (Montréal); Université de Montréal; and Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, Paris). After he left Nemaska Lithium, he immediately joined NORAM in March of 2020 to pursue the optimization of the NorScand membrane electrolysis technology and commercialization to other applications related to the circular economy of the lithium-ion battery supply chain.
Ernest Mast is the President and CEO of Doré Copper Mining Corp. He joined the company as a founder in June 2017. He has 30 years of experience in various technical and executive roles in the mining industry, across a wide range of commodities, geographies and development stages.
Mr. Mast is a Board member of Scottie Resources Corp. (a public company with a past producing gold mine in the Golden Triangle of British Colombia) and Libero Copper & Gold (a public company with copper porphyry deposits in the Americas). Scott Parsons is Vice President, Exploration at Alamos Gold Inc. Scott has more than 15 years of experience in progressively senior exploration roles. Prior to joining Alamos, he was Manager of Regional Exploration and Geoscience at TMAC Resources where he was responsible for resource expansion and regional exploration of the Hope Bay Project in Nunavut. Previously, Mr. Parsons served as Vice President, Corporate Development at Northern Superior Resources Inc., and as Exploration Geologist and later Project Geologist, Resource Development & Long-Range Planning at BHP Billiton.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University. Blaine Pedersen was first elected as MLA for Midland Constituency in 2007 and re-elected in 2011, 2016 and 2019. Blaine served as Minister of Infrastructure from 2016 until August 2017 when he was designated Minister of Growth, Enterprise and Trade. In October of 2019, he was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture and Resource Development. Prior to being elected, Blaine and his wife Dianne operated a successful cattle and grain operation in the Elm Creek area for over 30 years. Blaine and Dianne have three married children and six grandchildren. Blaine has always been an active community volunteer, an avid outdoorsman, and passionate advocate for rural Manitoba.
Jean-Charles (JC) Potvin, a co-founder of the Company, was President and CEO of Murchison from inception to November 2015 and resumed that role in December 2018 and has been a director since 2007. JC was President and CEO of Pangea Goldfields Inc., which had extensive holdings in Tanzania, until its acquisition in July 2000 by Barrick Gold Corporation for $204 million. Until 1994, he was a Director and Vice-President of Burns Fry (subsequently BMO Nesbitt Burns and currently BMO Capital Markets) and responsible for evaluating world-wide mining investment opportunities as a top-ranked Equity Research Gold Analyst. JC served as the Chairman of Vaaldiam Mining Inc. from 1992 to 2012 (formerly Tiomin Resources). He is currently the President and CEO of Golden Sun Resources which owns the Bellavista gold mine in Central America and is a director and Audit Committee member of Azimut Exploration Inc. and Gold Reserve Inc. both public exploration and development companies.
Ms. Ramnath is a Professional Geoscientist and award-winning Entrepreneur with over 20 years of global industry experience. Ms. Shastri Ramnath is the President and CEO of Exiro Minerals Corp, a private mineral exploration company that she co-founded and is a significant shareholder. In 2012 she co-founded and currently co-owns Orix Geoscience Inc., a geological consulting firm. She has worked in various technical and leadership roles including, FNX Mining where she was a key member of the exploration and resource team that discovered the Victoria and Morrison Deposits and subsequently with Bridgeport Ventures, a publicly listed company, where she was the President and CEO.
Her private directorship roles include companies she’s co-founded: Willeson Metals Corp (Chair), Exiro Minerals Corp (director), Qualitica Consulting (director/co-owner) and Orix Geoscience (Chair/Co-owner). Randal Sarrazin has extensive sulphuric acid and sulphur dioxide plant process and operating experience. He spent 18 years as a lead operator and 10 years as Plant Manger and Chief Power Engineer at a Sulphuric Acid and Sulphur Dioxide production plant in northern B.C., Canada. During this time, he was the Project Manager for the implementation of a CAD 15M plant equipment upgrade projects and managed an annual operating and maintenance budget of CAD 5M. He spent 8 years managing the technical specifications and maintenance for a fleet of 5,220 chemical tank cars during which time he was responsible for the chemical Emergency Response coordination and was certified as a Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Tank Car Specialist.
He joined NORAM Engineering and Constructors Ltd. in February 2020 as the Technical Sales and Operations Manager in the Sulphuric Acid Group, responsible for the sale and marketing of NORAM’s equipment and services including providing field services and inspections for operating plants.
He holds a Canadian Interprovincial 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate, has a Project Management Professional designation (PMP) and is a NACE Level One Lining and Coating Inspector.

David earned designations as a Fellow of Canadian Chartered Public Accountants and a Certified Director of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (Vice Chair) and Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.
Jake Klein is a founder and Executive Chairman of Evolution Mining Limited (ASX:EVN). The gold miner was formed in November 2011 and has forged a reputation for reliability and consistency. Through a patient counter-cyclical M&A growth strategy, Evolution has steadily upgraded the quality of its asset portfolio and become Australia’s third largest ASX-listed gold miner with a market capitalisation of over $7 billion.
Evolution is now one of the lowest cost gold producers in the world with a focus on margins and capital discipline to provide sector leading returns for its shareholders. Evolution currently has five assets in Australia with four 100% owned operations spread across New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland, plus an economic interest in the Ernest Henry copper-gold mine in Queensland. Jake was previously the President and CEO of Sino Gold Mining Limited where he managed the development of that company into the largest foreign participant in the Chinese gold industry. Sino Gold was purchased by Eldorado Gold in late 2009 for $2.2 billion. Jake has previously held positions of non-executive director on the boards of Lynas Corporation and OceanaGold. He is also a former President of the NSW Branch of the Australia China Business Council.
Dean Gehring was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in June 2019 after joining Newmont as Regional Senior Vice President, South America in June 2017. He brings over 25 years of global operational experience, having lived in Canada, Indonesia, Peru and the US.
Prior to joining Newmont, he spent 14 years with global miner Rio Tinto, in a variety of executive roles including President and Chief Executive Officer of Rio Tinto Minerals, Global Head of Safety and Security and General Manager of Resource Development for the Oyu Tolgoi mine in Mongolia.
Dean previously worked as Manager of Technical Services at Freeport’s Grasberg mine and held various operational and technical roles with BHP Billiton prior to working for Freeport. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Idaho, and his Master’s of Science in Project Management from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Dean holds a Nevada Professional Engineering registration and Project Management Professional certification. In addition to having published papers for mining and project management journals, he has served on university advisory boards and is currently the co-chair of the SME Foundation Corporate Giving Committee.
Ken Hoffman is a Senior Expert for McKinsey’s Basic Materials Institute (BMI). He Co- leads the Firm’s EV Battery Material Research Group and has worked on over 50 EV value chain client projects. His team looks at the impact on raw materials due to the rapid development of advanced battery technologies. He has co-written articles on nickel in EV’s, and a cobalt and lithium paper. Prior to McKinsey, Ken was the global head of metals and mining research for Bloomberg Intelligence Prior to Bloomberg Mr Hoffman was a head of equity research, analyst, and portfolio manager in the commodity and industrial growth area.
A CFA charter holder, Mr. Hoffman holds a BS in finance from Syracuse University and an MBA from Duke University.
Mr. Anthony Milewski is the Chairman of Nickel 28 Capital Corp. He has spent his career in various aspects of the mining industry, including as a company director, advisor, founder and investor. In particular, he has been active in commodities related to decarbonization and energy transition, including nickel, cobalt, copper and carbon credits. Anthony has served on the London Metals Exchange Cobalt Committee, which includes representatives from the largest mining and commodities companies globally. Anthony Milewski previously worked at Renaissance Capital and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Moscow, where he focused on advisory and transactional work in metals & mining and oil & gas sectors. He has lived and worked in Africa and Russia, including a year as a Fulbright scholar, and has spent considerable time in Central Asia. Mr. Milewski holds a B.A. in Russian history from Brigham Young University, an M.A. in Russian and Central Asian Studies from the University of Washington, and a J.D. from the University of Washington.
Luke Alexander brings extensive resource sector experience, knowledge and contacts to Newcore, particularly in West Africa. He has raised billions of dollars and structured deals for major mining companies while advising some of the world’s top institutional investment funds. Mr. Alexander began his investment banking career in the private client group at BMO Nesbitt Burns in Toronto, then started up an equity trading desk for Toronto Dominion in London before doing the same for National Bank. In 2008, he became senior partner at GMP Securities in London. Throughout his investment banking career, he helped fund many major resource projects in West Africa. In 2018, Mr. Alexander founded Park Road Capital, a Vancouver-based, natural resource focused consulting company where he continued to leverage his relationships in London.
Frank Basa, P.Eng., Chairman and CEO of Canada Silver Cobalt Works, is a metallurgical engineer and mill expert who has more than 30 years experience in gold, silver, cobalt and other metals exploration and development in Canada and other parts of the world, including as a metallurgical engineer for Agnico Eagle during the 1980s when it was mining and milling in the Cobalt Camp in northern Ontario.
Nicole Brewster brings an early career in capital markets and a successful private practice as an exploration contractor, experienced in acquiring and leveraging data, to execute targeted exploration for clients. This supported a re-invigoration of Renforth, today with five mineralized assets, including the Parbec open pit gold deposit on the Cadillac Break, adjacent to the Canadian Malartic Mine. Renforth’s Surimeau District Project is a 260 sq. Km land package south of the Cadillac Break which hosts 6 historic polymetallic mineral occurrences, specifically nickel and copper, along with a handful of gold showings. Renforth just completed significant drill programs, at Parbec >15,000m to support an upcoming resource restatement and at Surimeau, on the Victoria West Target area, drilling 2.2 kms of strike within the 5 kms long target, with each of the 15 holes drilled returning nickel, copper and zinc visual mineralization in the core. Assay results for both programs are being released as received.
Mr. Cacos brings over 25 years of management and advisory expertise in the mineral exploration industry. He has worked with Grosso Group since inception and serves as senior level executive for all the member companies. Mr. Cacos’ career includes administration and strategic planning for public companies. He currently serves as an officer and director of a number of TSX Venture Exchange listed companies. He holds a Master of International Management degree from Heidelberg, Germany and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Gallagher is a Professional Mining Engineer with over 35 years of experience in mine operations, projects and executive management. He was most recently CEO of North American Palladium where he lead an operational turn-around which culminated in the sale of the company to Impala Platinum of South Africa late in 2019. Previously Mr Gallagher was Global Director of Mining for Hatch leading a large mine design and EPCM team on numerous projects around the world. He also spent over 20 years with Falconbridge in a number of engineering, project and operational management roles. Mr Gallagher has been a board member of Harte Gold, Continental Gold and the Ontario Mining association.
Matt Halliday, P.Geo, President, COO and VP Exploration of Canada Silver Cobalt Works, is a professional geologist who has more than 15 years of exploration experience in precious and base metals including with SGS GeoStat on projects around the world and more recently in the Cobalt Camp/Abitibi area with Kirkland Lake Gold and First Cobalt prior to joining CCW in 2019.
Stuart Harshaw is a seasoned mining executive with a successful international career with Vale SA and Inco Limited. Most recently, as Vice President of Ontario Operations for Vale, Mr. Harshaw was responsible for the base metal operations of Vale in Ontario, which includes six underground mines, mill, smelter, nickel refinery, cobalt refinery, precious metal refinery and hydro-electric production facilities. Previously, he held various senior roles with Vale including the marketing and sales of a broad range of metal concentrates and finished metals worldwide. Since leaving Vale, he has been consulting in the global mining business and is a member of the Board of Directors of several mining companies, as well as Laurentian University of Sudbury, Canada. Mr. Harshaw earned a BSc. in Metallurgical Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from Laurentian University.
Mr. Jarvis has more than 30 years’ experience in exploration and development of mineral resources. After a career in financing exploration projects as a stockbroker, Mr. Jarvis moved to the corporate side of the business in 1996. He joined the Board of Ultra Petroleum, which at the time was a small oil and gas exploration and development company with a large, unconventional gas deposit. As Director responsible for Corporate Finance, he raised the equity capital necessary to prove the concept and to establish enough production to finance further growth with debt. Mr. Jarvis became CEO of Giga Metals Corporation’s predecessor company in January 2004. During his tenure, the company has drilled off a giant nickel/cobalt deposit, worked out a reliable metallurgical circuit, and published a Preliminary Economic Assessment.
Jean-Marc Lacoste earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from McGill University in Montreal. In 1993 Mr. Lacoste started a career in finance at the Montreal Stock Exchange where he worked for National Bank Financial and, subsequently, Merrill Lynch Canada. In 2000 he left Montreal for Toronto to join Northland Power, a wind power energy corporation, as Vice President of Acquisitions.
He returned to Montreal in 2002 where he joined the boards of a few public and private companies. From 2004 to 2010, he took a major role in Golden Goose Resources Inc. where he became President and CEO and COB. As CEO of Monarch Gold he successfully turned a 2M market cap company into a 200M transaction with Yamana in less than 8yrs. Mr. Lacoste has great leadership skills and will be a tremendous asset for Monarch Mining Corporation.
Felix Lee is an economic geologist with over 30 years in the mineral exploration industry and is the President and CEO of Willeson Metals Corp., a junior explorer with gold properties in the Lynn Lake area of northern Manitoba. Most recently he was also the President of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and served on the on the association’s Board of Directors for 14 years as well as its Executive, Governance & Nominating, Human Resources Development, Membership, and Awards committees. Prior to joining Willeson Metals, Felix was a Director and Principal Consultant with CSA Global Canada from 2016-2020 and President and owner of the Toronto-based mining and geological consultancy, A.C.A. Howe International Limited from 2003-2016.
Felix is a registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in the province of Ontario. He received his B.Sc. in Geology from McMaster University in 1986 and earned the Kellogg-Schulich MBA in 2005.
Mr. Magnan was former Technical Manager of Nemaska Lithium Inc. from the early development stage of 2012 to the construction stage of the 1.2B$ project until the beginning of 2020. Prior to that, he held several positions within the industry such as R&D Advisor, R&D Project Manager, Consultant and Quality control metallurgist. He also acted as a promoter and Project Manager for Phostech Lithium Inc. at the early stage. Phostech Lithium now became today the Johnson Matthey Battery Material Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LFP) plant in Québec, Canada. Mr. Magnan is the owner of many patents in the lithium rechargeable batteries field. He holds a master’s Degree in Materials Engineering from Laval University (2000). Until now, he has participated in the development and marketing of several new technologies during his career. He is co-author of patents from the University of Montreal, Hydro-Québec and the CNRS on lithium iron phosphate Cathode Active Material (CAM). These patents have been sublicensed worldwide by LiFePO4 + C Licensing AG in 2011. LiFePO4+C Licensing represents the patent owners for this technology: Hydro-Québec (Montréal); Université de Montréal; and Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, Paris). After he left Nemaska Lithium, he immediately joined NORAM in March of 2020 to pursue the optimization of the NorScand membrane electrolysis technology and commercialization to other applications related to the circular economy of the lithium-ion battery supply chain.
Ernest Mast is the President and CEO of Doré Copper Mining Corp. He joined the company as a founder in June 2017. He has 30 years of experience in various technical and executive roles in the mining industry, across a wide range of commodities, geographies and development stages.
Mr. Mast is a Board member of Scottie Resources Corp. (a public company with a past producing gold mine in the Golden Triangle of British Colombia) and Libero Copper & Gold (a public company with copper porphyry deposits in the Americas). He has served as the President and CEO at Primero Mining Corp, Vice President Corporate Development at Copper Mountain Mining Corporation, Vice President Operations at New Gold Inc, and President and CEO at Minera Panama S.A., a subsidiary of Inmet Mining, developing the $6B Cobre Panama project. He started his career at Noranda and subsequent companies (Falconbridge and Xstrata). He was the President and GM of Falconbridge Dominicana, an integrated 28,000 tpy nickel producer in the Dominican Republic.
Mr. Mast is a member of l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and has a Bachelors’ and Masters’ degree in metallurgical engineering from McGill University. Mr. Mast also received post-secondary business training at Henley College in the UK and at the Universidad Catolica in Chile.
A geologist with fourteen years international experience in the exploration industry, Dr. Moss was instrumental in the discovery of the Navachab gold deposit in Namibia which, after 12 years of operation, still contains reserves and resources of 3.7 million oz gold. He has conducted extensive research on hydrothermal ore deposits, culminating with a Ph.D. in geology at the University of Toronto in 2000. Prior to joining Nikos, Dr. Moss was Vice President, Exploration for Amerigo Resources Ltd.
Scott Parsons is Vice President, Exploration at Alamos Gold Inc. Scott has more than 15 years of experience in progressively senior exploration roles. Prior to joining Alamos, he was Manager of Regional Exploration and Geoscience at TMAC Resources where he was responsible for resource expansion and regional exploration of the Hope Bay Project in Nunavut. Previously, Mr. Parsons served as Vice President, Corporate Development at Northern Superior Resources Inc., and as Exploration Geologist and later Project Geologist, Resource Development & Long-Range Planning at BHP Billiton.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University. Mr. Parsons is a registered Professional Geoscientist in Ontario and Manitoba, and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Blaine Pedersen was first elected as MLA for Midland Constituency in 2007 and re-elected in 2011, 2016 and 2019. Blaine served as Minister of Infrastructure from 2016 until August 2017 when he was designated Minister of Growth, Enterprise and Trade. In October of 2019, he was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture and Resource Development. Prior to being elected, Blaine and his wife Dianne operated a successful cattle and grain operation in the Elm Creek area for over 30 years. Blaine and Dianne have three married children and six grandchildren. Blaine has always been an active community volunteer, an avid outdoorsman, and passionate advocate for rural Manitoba.
Jean-Charles (JC) Potvin, a co-founder of the Company, was President and CEO of Murchison from inception to November 2015 and resumed that role in December 2018 and has been a director since 2007. JC was President and CEO of Pangea Goldfields Inc., which had extensive holdings in Tanzania, until its acquisition in July 2000 by Barrick Gold Corporation for $204 million. Until 1994, he was a Director and Vice-President of Burns Fry (subsequently BMO Nesbitt Burns and currently BMO Capital Markets) and responsible for evaluating world-wide mining investment opportunities as a top-ranked Equity Research Gold Analyst. JC served as the Chairman of Vaaldiam Mining Inc. from 1992 to 2012 (formerly Tiomin Resources). He is currently the President and CEO of Golden Sun Resources which owns the Bellavista gold mine in Central America and is a director and Audit Committee member of Azimut Exploration Inc. and Gold Reserve Inc. both public exploration and development companies.
Ms. Ramnath is a Professional Geoscientist and award-winning Entrepreneur with over 20 years of global industry experience. Ms. Shastri Ramnath is the President and CEO of Exiro Minerals Corp, a private mineral exploration company that she co-founded and is a significant shareholder. In 2012 she co-founded and currently co-owns Orix Geoscience Inc., a geological consulting firm. She has worked in various technical and leadership roles including, FNX Mining where she was a key member of the exploration and resource team that discovered the Victoria and Morrison Deposits and subsequently with Bridgeport Ventures, a publicly listed company, where she was the President and CEO.
Her private directorship roles include companies she’s co-founded: Willeson Metals Corp (Chair), Exiro Minerals Corp (director), Qualitica Consulting (director/co-owner) and Orix Geoscience (Chair/Co-owner). Her current publicly traded directorships include Jaguar Mining (JAG:TSX), 1911 Gold Corp (TSX-v:AUMB) and Meteoric Resources (ASX: MEI). Ms. Ramnath is also the Chair of the Minister’s Liaison Committee (MLCME) in Manitoba, an advisor to the Goodman School of Mines at Laurentian University and founding director of Central Canadian Mineral Exploration Convention (CCMEC) in Manitoba.
Ms. Ramnath received a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology from the University of Manitoba, a M.Sc. in Exploration Geology from Rhodes University (South Africa), and an Executive MBA from Athabasca University
Randal Sarrazin has extensive sulphuric acid and sulphur dioxide plant process and operating experience. He spent 18 years as a lead operator and 10 years as Plant Manger and Chief Power Engineer at a Sulphuric Acid and Sulphur Dioxide production plant in northern B.C., Canada. During this time, he was the Project Manager for the implementation of a CAD 15M plant equipment upgrade projects and managed an annual operating and maintenance budget of CAD 5M. He spent 8 years managing the technical specifications and maintenance for a fleet of 5,220 chemical tank cars during which time he was responsible for the chemical Emergency Response coordination and was certified as a Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Tank Car Specialist.
He joined NORAM Engineering and Constructors Ltd. in February 2020 as the Technical Sales and Operations Manager in the Sulphuric Acid Group, responsible for the sale and marketing of NORAM’s equipment and services including providing field services and inspections for operating plants.
He holds a Canadian Interprovincial 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate, has a Project Management Professional designation (PMP) and is a NACE Level One Lining and Coating Inspector.
Russell Starr is an entrepreneur and financial professional with 25 years of corporate finance, M&A, investment and business development experience. Mr. Starr held senior positions and advisory roles with such financial institutions as RBC Capital Markets, Scotia Capital and Orion Securities during which he helped raise over a billion dollars for junior and mid-tier companies. He is a co-founder and part owner of Echelon Wealth Partners, a large Canadian investment dealer. He has held senior executive positions at Auryn Resources and at Cayden Resources where he was a member of the board and integral in the marketing, financing, development and ultimate sale of Cayden to Agnico Eagle for over $200 million.
Stephen is the CEO of QC Copper & Gold and Orefinders Resources, both TSX Venture listed companies, while also being a Chairman of Mistango River Resources and Baselode Energy. He is also the founder of the Ore Group of Companies a private organization focused on natural resource discovery and development.
Stephen is the Chairman of the Young Mining Professionals Global Group and Founder of its Scholarship Fund, the largest mining-focused charitable organization that supports mining engineering and geology education in Canada.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and a Master of Science from the University of Florida.
